A4L’s volunteers share the common understanding that when we volunteer it is a merit. It is not the party that we are volunteering for who is benefiting out of the relationship but us volunteers. It is the party who we are volunteering for who is providing us the opportunity to develop. Why is this so important?
When we share our time we overcome our own selfish desires, we go out of ourselves and connect on a deeper level with the world around us; we constantly experience new opportunities to overcome and grow. As such, A4L volunteers develop an extreme depth of care and consideration any and all work they undertake and are involved in.
